Brian's In - Where Are The Rest

Brian, it's great to have you contributing. But it appears we have to work on a dad and an uncle and an aunt.

We have gone two days in Allison Park without rain. Fears of a drought are rising, but the rice crop in the backyard seems headed for a bumper crop. Alas the tomatoes needed more sun.

It's been a week since we returned home - it appears we have begun to catch up on the bills, mail, and other stuff which greeted us. My cold is almost gone - the toothache lingers - I think I am about ready to consider a new set. Other than that, I've been back to work for a week, and a sermon needs to be worked on before Saturday evening.

Ted Kennedy's death revived the memory of my being in a Boston saloon the night his plane crashed in the Berkshires. On that same trip to Boston, I attended the doubles finals of a tennis tournament at the Longmont Tennis Club (?). I watched some great tennis and some great players: Darlene Hard, Maria Bueno, Billy Jean Moffit (later King), Antonio Palafox, Rafael Osuna and a couple of American guys whose names elude me. Our seats were at court level just several rows from sitting at the edge of the court. A seminary classmate's family had gotten us the tickets.

I'm in

Ok this is definately going to be a unique adventure for the Crawfords, The family has issues using cell phones and half of us don't know what a blog is. This will be an effective tool to keep in touch and stay current with the family news if used properly. Hope to see all you guys here in cyberspace!!!

Co-authors

My apologies to those I have invited to be co-authors of the blog. I was not aware until I tested it that you will need to have a gmail.com email account. But it is very easy to get one and you can use it for a variety of purposes. Thanks to y'inz all.

Greetings

This blog is an experiment to enable the Crawford siblings to keep in closer contact. The title means that it is open to all the Crawford siblings (that is, the sons and daughter of Alvin Henry and Irene Florence Nowicki Crawford) and their families and their parents' families. (The intention to make that specification as inclusive as possible.) And it can be used to share pictures, express opinions, share enthusiasms, recommend books and films, or just keep in touch by updating others on one's activities. I hope you will find it useful.
